Hate the Rich? Try Applauding Them!

If Liberals can, for just one moment, try to mind their own business, perhaps focusing on bettering themselves financially instead of bringing everybody else down, maybe, just maybe, we can right our shaky economy and get on the path to prosperity once again.

I've only recently realized that Liberal Americans hate rich people. I don't mean that they dislike or are annoyed by the rich, I mean that they outright hate them.

Hate, many say, is a very strong word. A dear friend, hearing one of his children use it at dinner, bellowed, "We don't use that word in this house!" Interesting. We don't use that word but presumably not using the word allows us to actively hate anyway. My friend is a good Liberal.

All the invective and hate (the correct word) the Left hurled at George W. Bush for eight years has left me and many other Americans deaf to and angry at their constant whining. It's maddening. They never stop.

The Liberal broken record is this: the rich are all actual or incipient criminals. Otherwise, how could they be rich? Anybody with success or its prospects should be taxed severely. Corporations are all greedy, thieving conspiracies that should be closed and shuttered.

Does any of this sound reasonable? It doesn't, because it isn't.

The Russian people will readily admit that a similar dynamic exists with them: they hate the rich Russians. Their excuse? Russians despise and loathe anybody else's success -- not just wealth, any success. It's because, deep down, they hate themselves with a kind of low self-esteem only losers can boast. I think it's because they know they could have the same success but aren't prepared to push themselves or work hard enough to obtain it. Or perhaps that most of them have lived their entire lives under a system -- socialism -- that destroys success.

Here and now, in my own rabble-rousing way, I accuse all Liberals of being guilty of the same chronic "Bring Down the Rich" cry, of being the same losers and malcontents that has kept Russia a virtual third-world country.

Healthy, stable, well-adjusted people don't besmirch those with more money or success than themselves. They admire and praise those more fortunate than they. This is what people who understand the Law of Abundance/Law of Success do.

As Wallace Wattles states:

There is a science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws, which govern the process of acquiring riches. Once these laws are learned and obeyed by anyone, that person will get rich with mathematical certainty.

Napoleon Hill, in his great book Think and Grow Rich writes beautifully about the creation of U.S. Steel by Andrew Carnegie and J.P. Morgan based on a simple idea shared with them by another man who was not wealthy. There are very few better examples of wealth-creation than Carnegie and Morgan. Think and Grow Rich is not just about getting money but rather about getting whatever it is that one wants in this world.

So if there is evidence that there is a formula or action plan for acquiring money -- and I believe I've just shown that there is -- why do so many weak, sluggish, unmotivated and subsequently unhappy people not do what they need to do to get rich? Because they don't believe it can be done, that's why. Yet they are profoundly envious of those who have thought it through and acquired the results.

I've discovered a fundamental, mental disconnect between people believing they can become rich and actually getting rich. Can you imagine that Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or Warren Buffett ever thought they couldn't get rich? Inconceivable.

Whenever I see someone who is rich, who drives an expensive car or who has a big, lovely home, I say to myself, "Good for them! They are successful." It feels right that I don't begrudge anyone success; that I wish success even for those I don't like.

But this is not the Liberal mentality. They moan about other's riches and possessions as if they are owed the same without earning them through dedication, commitment and hard work. It's their entitlement, just like the word they use to imply they give a damn about anybody else especially those with less than them. They don't.

We've all heard the term 'Limousine Liberal' to describe somebody who wants everybody else taxed into poverty while they continue to drive their BMWs, drink lattes and talk about a 'woman's right to choose,' 'gun control' or 'universal healthcare for everyone.' What a crock. These phonies take hypocrisy to an entirely new level. I've never heard of a 'Limousine Conservative.' Have you? There's a reason we invent these titles, clichés and axioms: they are, for the most part, true.

Now if Liberals can, for just one moment, try to mind their own business, perhaps focusing on bettering themselves financially instead of bringing everybody else down, maybe, just maybe, we can right our shaky economy and get on the path to prosperity once again. In context, it's clear to most Americans now that the Democrats don't know what the hell they're doing.
