Helena Christensen: The Word 'Supermodel' Is Embarrassing And Funny

Helena Christensen recently talked to the Mirror UK and she revealed that she doesn't take the word "supermodel" too seriously.

"I always thought it was kind of embarrassing and funny, but I'm grateful to have been part of something that felt like that....We were a group of girls who came along at the same time. We all looked different and we all represented different cultures and different personalities. Someone just labelled us the supermodel--it's one of those labels you get stuck with. But we are all still part of something that we did together."

She also talked about her best friend Naomi Campbell--the first person who calls Christensen to wish her a happy birthday and a Merry Christmas.

And she of course touched upon the topic of the moment: age. Christensen seemingly has no qualms about getting older, recently posing nude for Reebok. She told the Mirror:

"I wasn't worried about turning 40 at all. I want to live to be 120. That's when I will start worrying about my age. But things have changed now and I do have to exercise a lot--I didn't do any at all when I was young."

But she says that she's eaten her way through the 20 years she has been working.
