HGTV Giving Away Apartment In Trump Tower For 'Urban Oasis'

HGTV Reveals The Incredible Chicago Apartment It's Giving Away

The HGTV network is usually focused on things like interior design, landscaping, decorating -- all the things that "Home and Garden" brings to mind.

Last year, though, the network broke the mold and announced its Urban Oasis giveaway. University of Central Florida student Adam Venckauskas won an immaculately appointed luxury residence in the new W New York-Downtown.

After some suspense, HGTV announced today the location of its 2011 Urban Oasis giveaway: Chicago's dazzling Trump Tower.

The press release gives more details on the interior of the to-be-given-away apartment:

HGTV's popular designer Vern Yip has drafted plans for the 1,000 square-foot residence that will be the centerpiece of a fall 2011 grand-prize package. The fully-furnished, high-rise residence will include one bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, a gourmet kitchen and extraordinary views of the city's skyline, the Chicago River and Lake Michigan.

As Curbed Chicago writes, the giveaway doesn't start for a few months. Contestants can submit once a day between August 18 and October 7.
