WATCH: How One Man Tried To Distract The Hollywood Shooter

Watch this amazing account, courtesy of Inside Edition, of Chris Jones - a man who leaned as much of his body as he could out of his fourth-floor apartment window to distract the Hollywood shooter, 26-year-old Tyler Brehm, on Dec. 12. Risking his own life, he shouted, "Mad man! Kill me! I want to die! Please! Kill me! I was just going to jump, and I thought about you! I thought about you! I thought about a man shooting, and you came!"

Jones videotaped the whole thing, capturing Brehm wandering around the intersection, shooting randomly.

Three motorists were injured and there was one fatality from the Hollywood shooting, music executive John Atterberry. According to Hollywood Reporter, Atterberry was producing the self-written indie film "God's Country" at the time of his death. The tearful star of the film, Jenn Gotzon, told the Reporter, "The movie is about stopping and recognizing how important family is and how we can take family for granted. I could see the passion that fueled him to create this movie. I just remember how jubilant and joyful he was."
