Hollywood Sign Severed Head Case: $50,000 Reward To Be Offered For Information (VIDEO, UPDATE)

Months after severed hands, feet and a head were found by the Hollywood Sign, the City of Los Angeles is desperate for information regarding the gruesome murder.

Therefore, the LA City Council is expected to approve Tuesday a $50,000 reward for information that might lead to a suspect, CBS reports.

The head of Hervey Medellin Coronado, a 66-year-old former Mexicana airlines employee, was found in a plastic bag on Jan. 17 by two women who were walking their dog near Canyon Drive. Two hands and two feet were discovered the next day by police dogs.

"That's crossed my mind a lot of times, and I can't imagine the pain and suffering and torture he must have went through," a Jackie Leon, a neighbor of the victim, told CBS.

Councilman Tom LaBonge has been working with the Los Angeles police to push this case forward. "Somebody did something horrible, horrible, horrible. Because if they did something horrible like this, they could do it again," he said. "And we want to make sure we bring this person to justice."
