How Millennials Spend Their Money On Consumer Goods: INFOGRAPHIC

INFOGRAPHIC: How Millennials Spend Their Money

Millennials would rather give themselves a makeover at home with products purchased at CVS than have one done at a beauty parlor.

That's according to a new survey released by SymphonyIRI. They created an infographic based on a second-quarter MarketPulse research survey about shopper attitudes, perceptions and actions affected by the economy, according to AdAge.

One takeaway was that millennials are bigger fans of drug stores like CVS, Walgreens, Duane Reade or RiteAid than convenience stores.

"They are close to home ... and easy to get in and out of," Susan Viamari, editor of the report told AdAge.

The report also found millennials will try to save as much money as possible by doing things at home. SymphonyIRI said they're 46 percent more likely to use at-home beauty treatments to save money, and 31 percent more likely to cook from scratch or with limited convenience foods to save money.
