How Young Voters In America Stack Up: Rasmussen College (INFOGRAPHIC)

College students are not expected to make a huge splash in this election. Part of this belief stems from anecdotal articles, but it's also based on polling by the Pew Research Center and others.

Some conservatives are just fine with this. Jonah Goldberg, editor-at-large of the National Review Online, thinks young people are so "frickin' stupid," he'd rather them not vote at all.

But they could have a huge impact, as Margaret Hoover and John Avlon note over at CNN:

The millennials are the largest generation in American history. There are 27 million more millennials than members of Generation X, and 17 million more of them than baby boomers. There will be 65 million millennials eligible to vote in November, and if they turn out at the same rate that they voted in 2008 (just over 50%) they could amount to almost one quarter of the electorate.
