HuffPost's Marcus Baram Debates Jim Towey Over VA's Use Of "Your Life, Your Choices"

Huffington Post Night Editor Marcus Baram defended The Veterans Administration's use of the end-of-life planning document "Your Life, Your Choices" Tuesday, on CBS News' Washington Unplugged.

Baram pointed out that the controversy seems like a manufactured one; "Your Live, Your Choices" was in use for more than ten years.

Jim Towey, the former president of the White House Office of Faith-Based Initiatives under George W. Bush, was the counterpoint. According to Towey, "Your Life, Your Choices" is not sensitive enough.

The host asked Towey if his arguments can be interpreted as "sour grapes." Towey tried selling his own two-page, end-of-life booklet to the VA at a cost of $5 per veteran, but the VA declined. VA Assistant Secretary Tammy Duckworth mentioned Towey's booklet during an interview on Fox News, Sunday, Aug. 23.
