Immigrations And Customs Enforcement Officials Arrest 81 Immigrants In Colorado, Wyoming

ICE Arrests 81 Immigrants With Criminal Records

Denver Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have arrested 81 illegal immigrants in Colorado and Wyoming, the result of a 7-day nationwide "Cross Check" that arrested over 2,400 across the country.

One of those arrested was a 51-year-old Libyan man in Denver who had previously been convicted of first-degree sexual assault against a child.

The week long operation specifically targeted immigrants who have broken criminal laws.

"The results of this operation underscore ICE's ongoing focus on arresting those convicted criminal aliens who prey upon our communities, and tracking down fugitives who game our nation's immigration system," said ICE Director John Morton.
