Dear, cherry-topped ice cream sundae. We love you. But we also wouldn’t be disappointed if you turned out to be slightly alcoholic. So naturally we were pretty elated when we came across this Club W recipe for, you guessed it, wine ice cream floats.

What you need: A tall glass, a pint of vanilla ice cream, a bottle of red wine (a fruity Grenache works best), sparkling water and a jar of maraschino cherries.

How to make it: Pop the glass into the freezer for ten to fifteen minutes beforehand to keep the ice cream from melting too quickly. Then add two scoops of the vanilla―or enough to fill the glass 2/3 of the way up. Slowly pour in equal parts wine and sparkling water, letting it cascade over the ice cream. Top with a couple of cherries and enjoy.
