James Franco Talks Lindsay Lohan Sex Rumors On 'Howard Stern'

James Franco Talks Lindsay Lohan Sex Rumors

James Franco neither denied nor admitted that Lindsay Lohan attempted to have sex with him, in an interview with Howard Stern Monday.

The "Spring Breakers" actor -- who also addressed his relationship with Anne Hathaway post-disastrous Oscars-hosting gig (in short: "Anne and I made up") -- told the radio show host that he and Lohan had been "friends" but declined to elaborate on the rumors that Lohan had made several moves on him. "I don't like to brag about it," Franco said. "I don't know how that got out. She was having issues even then, so you feel weird. Honestly, she was a friend. I've met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don't want to do that."

Franco and Lohan collaborated in 2012 on a music video for R.E.M.'s "Blue," which Franco directed. Franco would later admit that he had tried to help the troubled "Liz & Dick" star move past the ongoing drama in her personal life but hadn't kept in touch.

"I haven't talked to her in a long time because it seemed like she was getting into some more trouble," Franco told MTV News in December 2012. "I've tried to help her. I think one of the reasons it's so hard is when she gets in trouble, she gets all this attention and I'm sure she gets book offers. Like she goes to jail, and instead of feeling like I really hit a low place, she'll get a crazy offer for her jail memoir."
