Jay Z And Justin Timberlake's 'Holy Grail' Video: It's Amazing We're In This Maze With Them

Cups Runneth Over In New 'Holy Grail' Video

Jay Z glides through a dilapidated home and Justin Timberlake croons in front of a blazing vehicle in their new video for "Holy Grail," the opening track from the rapper's "Magna Carta Holy Grail." The song receives a slight rearrangement in the clip, which slows down the Nirvana-inspired bridge and places Timberlake's soulful intro right before Jay's second verse.

"Holy Grail" premiered Thursday on Facebook, just a few weeks after Jay Z's 11-minute "Picasso Baby" performance-art video debuted on HBO. The song marks the lead single from the rapper's album, even though "Picasso" nabbed its first clip. "Grail" was directed by Anthony Mandler, who has helmed videos for Beyonce, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.

Even if Timberlake and Jay Z never appear in the same frame, cups certainly runneth over by the song's end. The moody video strives for elegance and, at the hands of these two superstars, seems to achieve it. Check it out and determine whether the "Magna Carta" standout holds up.
