The breakneck pace of filming for "Jersey Shore" (Thu., 10 p.m. EST on MTV) appears poised to take out one of the resident guidos. Vinny Guadagnino has been there since the beginning, and yet it seems he might be ready to step back.
"I'm sad, I'm anxious, I'm stressed, I'm hyper, I'm tired and I'm starting not to think rationally here," he admitted in a confessional. Ronnie and Pauly D noticed something wasn't right with him, and they set out to help him talk it through. "I have nothing left in me," Vinny told them. "I'm homesick, you know what I'm saying? It's f*****g with me ... Bro, I can't f*****g function in this environment."
"I've never seen Vinny like this, to this level," Pauly D said. "I've seen him homesick before, but I never seen him this bad. I'm worried."
Ronnie was a little more melodramatic in his analysis of the situation. "This is starting to get crazy," he said. "I'm like, 'How do I talk this kid off the ledge?' 'cause I know right now he wants to jump." Jumping off of a ledge is a bit more serious than wanting to leave a reality show, but nevertheless, Vinny was clearly out of sorts. The good news is that he revealed on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" that the outcome of this struggle turns out to be a good thing.
