John Derbyshire, Fired National Review Writer, Resurfaces With New Racist Rant

John Derbyshire, the columnist whose racist writing led to his ejection from National Review, has resurfaced with a new piece unapologetically praising white supremacy.

Derbyshire was a longtime writer for National Review before a column on the Taki's Mag website, which advised white people to avoid areas "with large concentrations of blacks," got him fired in April.

Now, Derbyshire has secured a post with VDare, which the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as "an anti-immigration hate website."

Leaving aside the intended malice, I actually think "White Supremacist" is not bad semantically. White supremacy, in the sense of a society in which key decisions are made by white Europeans, is one of the better arrangements History has come up with.

Derbyshire also writes that conservatism is mostly white movement because "conservative ideals like self-sufficiency and minimal dependence on government have no appeal to underperforming minorities--groups who, in the statistical generality, are short of the attributes that make for group success in a modern commercial nation."
