John Krasinski And Emily Blunt Had A Close Encounter With A Shark

Your favorite celebrity couple is even adorable while experiencing scuba diving trauma.

On an episode of "Ellen" airing Friday, John Krasinski opens up about the time he and wife Emily Blunt had a close encounter with a shark while 100 feet deep in the ocean on their honeymoon.

"Emily never wanted to learn scuba diving and I was like 'We'll never get into trouble with sharks," he said. "All of a sudden one broke off from the circle and started swimming behind us. I saw it and Emily didn't. He started to charge Emily, so my decision was 'If I spook her and she moves a lot, he might bite her.'"

He decided to just "let it ride," and the shark swam right by Blunt. When the actress realized the shark was so close, Krasinksi said "she kind of passed out under water."

"All of her air just went to the top," he said. "It was pretty scary."

Everything turned out fine -- a cute little sea turtle literally came up to comfort Blunt in the water -- and now, years later, the two continue to live as successful artists with a new very cute child.

Krasinski, who is currently promoting his film "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi," also recently charmed as a guest on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," where he showed his prowess at fake vomiting.

Luckily, he didn't do anything of that sort at sight of the shark.
