Jonathan Taylor Thomas will guest star on "Last Man Standing," makring his first return to TV since "Veronica Mars" in 2005.

It'll be a "Home Improvement" reunion for Thomas and "Last Man Standing" star Tim Allen. Thomas played Allen's middle son Randy for eight seasons on "Home Improvement."

According to Entertainment Weekly, Thomas will play a manager of a restaurant where Allen's character's daughter, Kristin (Amanda Fuller), applies for a job. So far Thomas is only booked for one episode.

This isn't the first "Home Improvement" reunion staged on "Last Man Standing." Earlier in Season 2 Richard Karn, who played Al on the series, guest starred.

EW reunited the cast for a photoshoot in 2011 and rumors quickly started swirling about reunions. When asked if he'd guest star on "Last Man Standing," Thomas laughed and told EW, "That has not come up yet. We’ll see about that. I’m sure they have a lot of stories they want to get to."

Zachery Ty Bryan spoke to HuffPost in June 2012 and said he was hopeful to reunite the cast.

"I'm not too sure about that. Last I spoke was with [producer] Gayle Maffeo," he said. "She told me that it was 'in process.' But I'm still waiting for a call. I will let you know as soon as I know. I'm excited! I've got my fingers crossed."

Thomas' "Last Man Standing" episode is scheduled to air in later 2013.
