Her name is Ivy, Just Ivy. The European-born artist is ready to take the music world by storm with her debut single "Paradise." The single features superstar hit-maker Akon. It is produced REO of the Sound Killers (who have worked with artists like Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and Keyshia Cole) and is through the label Black Pearl Records/The Orchard.

Just Ivy's sound can be described as Pop with a touch of R&B. Her style is glam-rock. She started singing at a young age and bounced back-and-forth between Europe and America her entire life. She brings these cultural and spiritual experiences to her music. Her main artistic influences range and include such great names as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé', and Sade.

The song "Paradise" itself is a feel-good party song. It is the type of song that would get a person up dancing. The beat is catchy. The lyrics aren't offensive or vulgar, which easily opens to potential radio airplay.

Like previously mentioned, the song features Akon. For those who are unaware, Akon has been a staple in the entertainment community for over a decade. He has collaborated with artists like Gwen Stefani and Whitney Houston and produced many artists including Lady Gaga, T-Pain, and Leona Lewis. He is also a very accomplished solo artist and according to Billboard Magazine is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice.

Just Ivy was very excited to work with Akon. She describes her experience working with the hit-maker as both inspiring and a tremendous learning experience. "We were really going for a 'feel good' party record" Just Ivy says, "Akon's whole vibe and energy just inspired me to do my best and gave the record that extra pop."

While writing I was listening to "Paradise." The next day I woke up with the song stuck in my head (in a good way). The song has the potential to become a club/dance hit. I could see it being played in clubs and parties across the country, if not around the world. As the days become shorter and the leaves change, "Paradise" could become that song that people use to escape the cold.

While "Paradise" may make Just Ivy a name in the music industry, she is already working on her second single. "Bad Girl Take Over" (produced by DJ Khaled) features Meek Mill and DJ Kahled will drop sometime in the fall. Her untitled debut album is coming soon and will feature many A-List producers (including those already mentioned). I have a feeling this will not be the last time we will hear from Just Ivy. She may soon find herself needing to escape to "Paradise" to get away from all the success.

You can hear the track "Paradise" by Just Ivy on here official site here. The official music video should be released sometime soon. Like the song? It is available on iTunes.
