Kal Penn Assembles For 'Ex-Men'

Kal Penn has joined the cast of CBS's comedy pilot "Ex-Men." According to TVLine, Penn will play Gil, a man who moves into a housing complex with other divorced men after he's caught having an affair. The project hails from "How I Met Your Mother" executive producer Rob Greenberg and also stars "Paranormal Activity 3's" Chris Smith.

In other casting news ...

"The Vampire Diaries" actress Alice Evans will guest star on NBC's "Grimm."
Evans will play Mia, somebody who has an "ongoing relationship" with Captain Renard. [EW]

Sir Lancelot is coming to "Once Upon a Time."
"Teen Wolf" actor Sinqua Walls will play the "sword for hire with nothing to lose." [TVLine]

"The Shield" and "Prime Suspect" veteran Kenny Johnson is heading to "Burn Notice."
Johnson will play Tyler Gray a merciless, operative, in the midseason finale. [THR]

"Brothers & Sisters" alum heads to "Beauty and the Beast."
Luke MacFarlane will guest star in the second episode of the new CW series as Philippe Bertrand, the artistic director of a ballet company who's being investigated by Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) after their prima-ballerina is murdered. [TV Guide]
