WATCH: Karl Rove Still Not Over That Whole Election Night Thing

Karl Rove is clearly still thinking about his infamous Election Night meltdown.

The politico and Fox News pundit was mercilessly mocked for refusing to believe his own network's assurances that Barack Obama had won the presidential election. He was also briefly benched from Fox News.

Rove appeared to be harboring some lingering resentment about the whole thing during an appearance on Tuesday's "Happening Now." Guest host Rick Folbaum asked him jokingly whether he could handicap the election for the new Pope. Rather than chuckle, Rove used the moment to commend the Vatican for counting every vote -- unlike those losers at Fox News, apparently.

"They do it the right way," he said. "They get to the final vote and the decision and then they let the smoke get it ... "Maybe there's a message there for American media. Maybe we better wait, rather than try to call it, let the election go to its final conclusion and let the results speak for themselves." (Jump to 4:10 in the video above for comments.)

Oh, the irony!
