Kate Nash Talks Tour, Music, and Muppets?

During her concert at Terminal 5 in New York City on Nov. 19, singer/songwriter Kate Nash stepped off stage to change outfits abruptly. She told the crowd of mostly girls, but a decent showing of dudes that she almost had a wardrobe malfunction. Vintage. Later in the set, before playing "Skeleton Song," she aimed this line at her female fans: "you don't have to be hungry to be happy." Yep, that's Kate Nash -- always charming and honest no matter how blunt she can be.

Hours before she took the city stage, I spoke with the celebrated Brit, who broke out with her 2007 debut "Made of Bricks," and found her equally candid and refreshingly down-to-earth. Case in point -- within seconds of meeting, she offered me some of her Tostitos. Free tortilla chips is the new form of British charm as far as I'm concerned.
