Kate Winslet Talks Divorce, Newfound Love In April Issue Of Harper's Bazaar UK (VIDEO)

Kate Winslet On Finding Her 'Soul Mate' After Divorce

In the upcoming April issue of Harper's Bazaar U.K., Kate Winslet opens up about finding herself and her "soul mate" in the wake of the marital setbacks she's endured over the years.

“I’ve really learnt a great deal about myself, in the last four years in particular. I think I can see more clearly now -- about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am and the characters I have played -- and I’m grateful for that," the 37-year-old told the magazine.

In December, Winslet shocked tabloids and fans alike when she announced that she had tied the knot with beau Ned Rocknroll, the 34-year-old nephew of Virgin magnate Sir Richard Branson.

Winslet is twice-divorced, having split from "American Beauty" director Sam Mendes in 2010 and Jim Threapleton in 2001.

"I have so much more material to draw on for work -- rubble, bricks -- and I know I can carry it now. I’m not going to drop it, and if I do, I’ll sift through it. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not,” the Oscar-winning actress mused during her recent interview.

This isn't the first time that Winslet has talked candidly about her romantic struggles.

The actress -- who also graced the cover of Harper's Bazaar U.K.'s November 2011 issue -- told the magazine at the time that though her divorce from Mendes had been "hard," she was ready to embark on a new chapter.

"I feel that I'm just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it's incredibly exciting," Winslet, who was already dating Rocknroll at the time, told Bazaar. "It's complicated, I know, and uncertain -- but it's where life happens, between the cracks. It can be a painful process, but I truly hope that never stops for me."

Earlier that year, in March 2011, Winslet told British Vogue that she was not only learning how to enjoy solitude but also how to regain a sense of self post-divorce.

“I actually keep saying it out loud. Last night I went out for a drink with two friends and, as we were walking, I said, ‘God, you know, I feel so good.’ Not in a, ‘Wow! I feel so good!’ way, but just in that quiet centered way. I’m almost surprised by it. I feel well, I feel healthy. I feel clear. I feel centered,” she said.
