The End Of Katie Couric's Talk Show Is Nearing

Katie Couric Does Final Taping For Talk Show

Get ready to bid farewell to "Katie."

TV Newser reported that Katie Couric taped the last episode of her daytime talk show on Thursday. The last episodes will air for the rest of the season, and then repeats will air in the summer.

Couric and ABC announced in December that "Katie" would not be continuing for a third season. The announcement followed her decision to join Yahoo as the website's "global anchor" and leave ABC News early.

Couric's daytime talk show debuted in September 2012, and was the highest rated freshman show in a very competitive market. Still, Couric was reportedly not always been happy about doing fluffy segments, and
was prepared to leave the show, according to a source, if it proved to be a wrong fit.

So far, Couric's work for Yahoo has included interviews with former Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Michael Bloomberg and other content on her Tumblr. Her next interview is with Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday.
