The driver of the truck, a man in his 40s, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, according to NBC Chicago.

Kendall County Coroner Ken Toftoy told NBC the collision was "probably one of the most horrific crashes that I've seen in 20 years being coroner."

Area resident Sandy Diller told CBS Chicago that intersection has been the site of many collisions and needs either a four-way stop sign or a flashing light.

"That corner scares me to death," Diller told the station.
