Benson and the gang are coming back!
"Law & Order: SVU" was officially picked up for its 18th season on Monday, according to an emailed statement from NBC Universal. Yep, that means you'll never have to leave your couch, go outside and interact with humans ever again.
"SVU" showrunner Warren Leight tweeted his excitement on Monday afternoon.
Breaking News: #SVU is legal! Thanks to NBC for picking us up for Season 18. Thanks to our wonderful cast, crew, and #SVUDiehards.

According to the NBC Universal statement, the renewal is concurrent with "Law & Order" series creator Dick Wolf signing a deal with the network through 2020. We couldn't be happier.

Though it looks like *someone* in the cast reportedly got left out of the celebrations (cough cough, Ice T):
Did SVU officially get renewed for season 18??! Wow. Looks like I’m the last to know. That’s great news. I still gotta JOB.
