A buddy and I headed up to Avon, Colo., on Sunday to check out ProgressNow and the self-described "non-partisan" group Common Cause, protesting the Koch brothers conservative confab in nearby Vail.

I went in the hope of doing what we love to do at WhoSaidYouSaid: reveal what activists and politicians -- particularly on the left -- say in public.

Despite the fact that the rally and protest was intended to draw attention from news organizations and blogs, that apparently didn't include me. I did get footage of these remarks from ProgressNow Colorado's Kjersten Forseth:

We're here today to protest the Koch brothers, not just for the secret way they spend corporate dollars on our politics, but in particular that their support of the Ryan plan proposal simply dismantle[s] Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid, which will basically throw Grandma out on the street.

One attendee made it really clear to me that she did not appreciate my videotaping.

Her: "Can we help you with something?"

Me: "My name's Kelly Maher. I'm with WhoSaidYouSaid.com."

Her: "Oh, well welcome."

Me: "Thanks."

Her: "I hate your website."

Me: "That's O.K."

After that charming introduction, she held up a sign in front of my camera. And every time I would move my camera, she would block it with her sign. Now that's progress!
