Lesbians And Werewolves Collide In Indie Film, 'Jack & Diane,' Featuring Kylie Minogue And Riley Keough

Teenage lesbians, werewolf fantasies and Australian siren Kylie Minogue collide in a new indie film from writer-director Bradley Rust Gray, of "The Exploding Girl" and "Salt" fame.

The film, "Jack & Diane," will be released in the U.S. on Nov. 2, but the teaser is already creating buzz in the blogosphere, due in part to the involvement of both Minogue and Riley Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley.

The gist of the low-budget romance is this: Jack (Riley Keough) and Diane (Juno Temple) are two New York teens who fortuitously meet. Diane is cute and somewhat incredulous; grungier Jack skateboards and has great hair.

The two fall in love (of course), but Diane's mother is forcing her to move out of the country, creating emotional turbulence as Jack struggles to resist the temptation to open up. Oh, and then Diane's sexual awakening is accompanied by disturbing "werewolf-like visions," according to IMDb.

The trailer also includes shots of what appear to be teeth and steel wool, as well as the tagline, "Love can be so strong it devours us," and the closing soundbite: "I just wanna, like, unzip my body and put you in there."

The 44-year-old Minogue's turn as a heavily tattooed, older temptress comes on the heels of her role in "Holy Motors," a film recently featured at the Cannes Film Festival. Keough, 23, was recently part of the Channing Tatum-led "Magic Mike" cast.

CORRECTION:A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that there was a separate, earlier version of the film that was halted. In fact, Jack & Diane has been in development for quite some time. Back in 2007, Ellen Page and Olivia Thirlby discussed making the film, but cited financial difficulties with getting it made.
