Democratic Rep. Lois Capps was again elected to represent California's 24th District.
Capps, who was first elected to Congress in 1998, defeated Republican challenger Chris Mitchum in Tuesday's election. Mitchum, who unsuccessfully challenged Capps in 2012, is an actor and former vice president of the Screen Actors Guild.
The district encompasses portions of California's Central Coast, including Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo.
