Is your job just not cutting it as you save for the upcoming school year or study abroad? In this economy, finding a good paying job is hard so, for most people, minimum wage at a part time isn't enough. Fortunately for you, it's easy enough to make some extra cash in your spare time!

Have a Yard Sale

Having a yard sale is hard work but it's also pretty rewarding sometimes. If you don't think you have enough stuff that people will be willing to buy, offer it up to your parents as a chance to clean and get rid of some old stuff, and maybe they will let you take most of the proceeds if you do all of the work for it. If you don't sell everything, but you do well, have a couple over the course of the summer!

Sell Off Your Old Things Online

Got a lot of stuff you don't need that's a little too valuable for a yard sale? Sell it on Ebay or Craigslist. These sites have millions of viewers each day and give you the opportunity to set the price. You can give a detailed listing and communicate with the buyers through email, which is extremely convenient, but you just have to be careful. If you go to school near your house, use the Facebook "For Sale" pages for your school to sell your things as well.

Babysit, Pet sit, House sit, Do Yard Work

It's not just a job for preteens anymore. Parents of children or pets are always looking for responsible young adults who have every certification in the book, so if you have those, you're golden. House sitting does not have as many requirements and is much easier to do. You just need to find someone going on vacation and you are good to go! Yard work falls under this category because it involves doing work at someone else's house. If you do well enough at it, word will spread and you will have more extra work than you can handle.

There are some things that probably won't work though, so watch out for that. You might be too old to have a lemonade stand, bake sale or something of the like, so leave those to the 5-year-olds down the block. Be creative. The ways to earn money are endless if you are thinking outside of the box and aren't spending everything you have while you try to figure it out.
