By now, you've probably heard the inspiring story of Malala Yousafza, the brave Parkistani teen who was shot by the Taliban because she believes girls deserve equal access to education.
Not only has the 16-year-old made an incredible recovery since the 2012 shooting, but she's continuing her crusade to bring education to young women (while being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and speaking at the United Nations on Malala Day along the way).
Today, the 16-year-old activist is teaming up with Free The Children, leading the #WeAreSilent campaign. In a powerful video, celebrities such as Selena Gomez and Joe Jonas are taking a stand with Malala by taking a 24-hour vow of silence in support of those who do not have a voice.
Last year, 160,000 young men and women were silent for a combined 1.2 million hours.
