Manu Ginobili, Tyreke Evans Collide: Spurs Star Leaves Game, No Stitches Required (VIDEO)

Manu Leaves Game After Scary Collision

Early in the fourth quarter, Evans passed the ball to Chuck Hayes at the elbow and quickly rolled toward him expecting to get it back. But Ginobili charged after the ball and tried to intercept the pass. The result: a face-first collision that sent Ginboili falling back onto the hardwood.

Deep breaths, Spurs fans (Sorry Kings supporters, you're not making the playoffs).

Luckily, the head-to-head smash looked much worse than it really must have felt. Evans was able to play on, while Ginobili suffered a laceration inside his right ear, according to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News. With the Spurs holding a double-digit lead and coach Greg Popovich looking to keep his veteran stars fresh for the postseason, Ginobili did not return to the game, but the injury was not considered serious enough for stitches.

Spurs fans can let out a huge sigh of relief.
