Marie Osmond Looks Pretty In Purple (PHOTO)

How To Wear Lavender Eye Shadow

Not only was she the only girl of the nine children in the Osmond brood, Marie Osmond was one of the few siblings that wasn't in the eponymous band. That didn't stop the sweet, smiling girl from making a name for herself in show business. She set herself apart by embracing country music and her first single "Paper Roses" became a chart-topping hit in 1973. In 1976 she and brother Donny starred in their own variety show (aptly named "Donny and Marie"), launching them to national fame. Marie's career has taken her to made-for-TV movies, Broadway and most recently "Dancing with the Stars."

Marie Osmond's style has certainly changed over the years. But in the '70s Marie was all about color and lots of it! This 1977 picture from the American Music Awards shows her rocking head-to-toe lavender. To get Marie's monochromatic look try a soft purple eye shadow that coordinates with a fun floral hair accessory and jewelry. To keep the focus on your eyes keep your lips subtle with a neutral shade of lipstick. Will you try Marie's makeup?
