"Hollywood Unplugged," a new series on HuffPost Entertainment, shows our culture's most influential figures in a new light. Instead of focusing on their accomplishments, it examines how they continue to thrive despite the inevitable stress.

Mario Lopez knows a thing or two about juggling a busy schedule. The "Extra" host and newish father -- he and girlfriend Courtney Mazza have a two-year-old daughter and another baby on the way –- can often be seen at The Grove dishing the latest Hollywood news, and he just signed on to return as host of "The X Factor" for a second season. Though his life may be hectic, Lopez still makes sure to take time relax and unwind, and he let HuffPost in on some of his de-stressing secrets for "Hollywood Unplugged."

Punta Mita, Mexico. It's the go-to vacation destination for my family.

Go for a run and a big glass of wine.

Great music and talking on the phone. I like to be productive!

What song, TV show, book or work of art lowers your blood pressure?
Watching "Game of Thrones" and listening to '80s music.

What advice would you give your stressed-out self?
Don't take on so much and get more sleep.
