Mark Kirk Gets Skittish About Possible Glenn Beck Endorsement (WATCH)

U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk may or may not accept an endorsement from conservative talk show host Glenn Beck -- he won't say either way.

After word broke that the self-described moderate Congressman was seeking kind words from Sarah Palin on behalf of his Senate bid, Think Progress caught up with Kirk and asked whether he would be open to an endorsement from the Fox News host, similar to the one Beck gave Doug Hoffman in the recent New York Congressional election.

"How about Glenn Beck," the interviewer asked Kirk, "If he offered his endorsement, would you accept that?"

Kirk smiled and said, "Uh, he's a very interesting guy. I don't think he's endorsing any candidates though."

"He endorsed Hoffman, though," the interviewer pressed. "You don't want him to endorse you?"

Kirk did he best to dodge, mumbling "nice to see you" and trying to walk off.

Kirk's Palin courting didn't go quite as planned, either. The campaign's hope was to have her say something positive about Kirk while she was in Chicago for the "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Palin, however, came and went without any public praise for Kirk.
