Matt Lauer Cheating DENIED: Annette Roque, 'Today' Host Deny Split

Matt Lauer and wife Annette Roque are fighting back against rumors that he moved out after she accused him of cheating during the Winter Olympics.

The "Today" show host and his wife spoke to People magazine to dispel a National Enquirer report of their marital struggles and, in particular, his infidelity, calling the report "ridiculous," "offensive," and "a work of fiction."

"I am living in my apartment with Annette and my children as a family and a couple," Lauer told People. "I have never moved out. I am not moving out. There is no truth to that."

"Out of self respect, I want to stand up for our family and protect them," Annette said in a separate interview.

Lauer acknowledged marital problems in the past — "Have we had a completely perfect, easy marriage? No. But the stories you've read over the years are not true," he said — but denied the Enquirer and Radar reports claim-by-claim, arguing that the tabloid's facts were wrong in several instances (such as its claim that the couple spent Valentine's Day apart when, in fact, Annette and the kids flew to Whistler to meet Matt on Valentine's Day, near Vancouver where he was anchoring NBC's Winter Olympics coverage).
