President Obama has been reaching out to Republicans for support on the stimulus package. Not surprisingly, the GOP seems to be using the bipartisan gesture to attack Democrats. On the "Today" show Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said it was the president's party that was causing problems for the stimulus, while the GOP was helping out. As for the party's future, McConnell said while he's personally a "huge supporter of the president," he's happy to no longer be "carrying that political burden that we carried the last two elections."
