"Everyone has talked about shorts getting shorter but swim has really led the charge," said Eric Jennings, men's fashion director at Saks Fifth Avenue. "It's definitely the look right now."
Leading the pack of petite trunks are Speedo, Nautica and Penguin.
And in terms of hues?
"Bright, clean colors--kelly green, teal and poppy yellow--will be big for us next spring," said Ann Payne, creative director for Penguin. "Fashion is really being driven by color right now, not print."
