Unstable conditions and high moisture led to roughly 4 inches of rainfall between Florida International University and the Miami International Airport, CBS Miami reports.

FIU recorded a whopping 3.64 inches of rain in less than 2 hours this afternoon, causing flooding at the university, according to NBC Miami. Floating cars were reported in Doral, and nearby Ruben Dario Middle School in Sweetwater got 4.03 inches of rainfall.

Heat owner Micky Arison urged basketball fans to leave early for tonight's Game 5 of the playoffs between Miami and Indiana:

Forecasters say the evening should bring lighter weather conditions with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Overnight the sky should clear up with just a few clouds, and winds anywhere from 18 to 23 miles per hour.

The NWS said Wednesday's weather should be lighter as well, although there is a possibility of thunderstorms after 2 p.m.
