Mike Brown's future with the Cleveland Cavaliers is currently up in the air, with one report claiming that the team's coach has been fired. Earlier Friday afternoon, Sports Illustrated reported that he had already been terminated:
NEW YORK -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have fired head coach Mike Brown, two league sources told SI.com.
The piece has now been amended to say that the team is "evaluating" Brown's status, with SI's two sources maintaining that Cavs owner Dan Gilbert has "has made his decision," but has perhaps not acted on it yet.
The Cavaliers were eliminated from the playoffs Thursday night with a Game 6 loss to the Boston Celtics.
