'Top Chef' Alum Mike Isabella Teams Up With Blogger Carol Blymire To Pen Cookbook

Chef Mike Isabella, a contestant on Top Chef Season 6 and runner-up on Top Chef All-Stars has hired blogger Carol Blymire to help write his upcoming cookbook, Flavors from a Jersey Italian. Blymire is best know for her blog French Laundry at Home, and now Alinea at Home in which she works her way cooking through the respective restaurants' cookbooks. The recipes are not necessarily geared toward home cooks, so Blymire's experiences are often an entertaining read.

In regards to Isabella's cookbook, Blymire told the Washington Post:

“We have the same agent and the opportunity presented itself through that connection. Mike and I spent some time together, I wrote a few things to make sure I could capture his voice and that we’d work well together, and blammo — done deal. I have some experience ‘translating’ restaurant food for the home cook, so this couldn’t be a more perfect fit.”

Likewise, Isabella felt that Blymire "best captured his tough, tell-it-like-it-is, northern New Jersey voice."

Blymire "couldn't be more excited."
