Romney: Santorum Has 'Sour Grapes' Over CPAC Straw Poll

Mitt Romney hit back against Rick Santorum's suggestion that he rigged the CPAC straw poll, telling Fox News Radio's Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday that the former Pennsylvania senator was just jealous.

"Did he have any evidence of that, by the way?" Romney asked. "The answer is of course not. Our participation in CPAC and other polls is the same as in other years, and it's kind of silly on his part. Sometimes when you lose, you cast around looking for excuses... I'm afraid sour grapes and having lost has generated some unusual places to blame."

The former Massachusetts governor also criticized Santorum's record in Washington, including his use of earmarks, saying the race was between "a big spender versus a guy who balances budgets."
