My Conversation With Senator Rand Paul

Poverty is a shameful and disgraceful fact of life in the United States -- more so than anyplace else because we live in the richest nation on the planet. Yet these issues get far too little attention on the national stage. With that in mind, I have called for one of the 2016 Presidential debates to focus solely on the issues of poverty and income inequality. Today I asked a potential presidential contender -- Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky -- for his thoughts on this critical issue.

I also chatted with Senator Paul about his visit last week to Ferguson, Missouri, and his continuing efforts to draw more African American voters into the Republican fold.
