Jeans! Jeans! Jeans!

Jeans! Jeans! Jeans!

There’s a reason jeans are a staple in everyone’s closet, no matter what their personal style is: you can dress them up or down, and they’re perfect for any occasion, whether you’re going to school, having dinner with your family, or shopping with friends (for more jeans of course!).

The one problem I do have with jeans is that, with so many cuts, styles and brands on the market, finding the perfect pair of jeans can be stressful and hard. Trust me, I’ve spent plenty of time trying to find the best options that look good, feel good, and fit my body just right.

One thing that helped me in my denim search was looking to other people who have a similar body type as mine (friends, family, celebs, etc.) and paying attention to which types of jeans work best for them. So, I decided to share my favorite denim brands in hopes that it may help you in your search for your new faves.

These three brands and styles of jeans are the ones that I turn to over and over again, every time I open my closet.

My Favorite Skinny Jeans

Hollister

My go-to skinny jeans are from Hollister, and in my opinion, you can never go wrong with them. I have a pair of jeans I bought from Hollister around four years ago, and I literally wore them last week. That’s only possible because the quality is so great, and you can count on them holding up after countless washes. Even better is the fact that Hollister jeans make almost everybody feel like the best version of themselves. I don’t know how, but they do. Seriously.

American Eagle

I’m a firm believer that anyone can wear a skinny jean. The key is to find the right cut for your shape, and if you’re a high wasted girl like me, I must say that American Eagle designed their skinnys with your body in mind. (At least that what it feels like to me.) These jeans make me look SO slim, but they accentuate my curves in all the right places, instead of smashing them in like a too-tight sports bra for my legs.

Obviously, once I discovered the AEO skinny jeans I became obsessed and started collecting as many pairs as possible. Lately, their ripped skinnys have become my staple jeans, and I love that the rips have continued to hold together without ripping even more (even if I wear them a few times a week).

(If you’re looking for a different style of ripped skinny jean, you may want to check out the AE Denim x Skinny Kick Jean ($49.95). They have a slight boot cut, so they’re perfect to have on hand if your ever need a skinny jean with a wider leg opening.)

My Favorite Boyfriend Jeans

Pacsun

Finding the right fit in boyfriend jeans is tricky. In fact; I’d recommend trying on lots of pairs instead of ordering them online. You want them to fit loose around the legs and ankles, hug the butt loosely but firmly so it doesn’t look saggy, and not be too tight around the mid- to lower thigh. Currently, my favorite boyfriend jeans are from Pacsun because they don’t sit too low on my high waist and their slim enough through the upper leg without being “skinny.” I own at least six pairs, but this will obviously vary from person to person and body type to body type. I’ve certainly met a few boyfriend jeans (and boys in general) that I didn’t love.

My Favorite Mom Jeans

Levi's

I have no idea when mom jeans became such a fashionable thing, but I must say that I’ve grown to love them. I have a high waist, so they’re perfect for me. And if you’re looking for a vintage, old-skool pair of mom jeans, you have to go with the OG of denim brands: Levi’s.

The name of the Wedgie Fit jean may sound ridiculous, but they’re actually flattering. (And no, they won’t actually give you a wedgie.) They’re definitely more expensive than other pairs, but they are soooo worth it. Look at it like this: You can spend 100 bucks on one pair that will last 3-5 years, or you can buy a cheap pair that you have to keep replacing and end up spending twice that in the same amount of time. Levi’s LAST.

Of course, like anything in fashion, denim preferences vary based on personal opinions and fit need, but these are by far my favorite brands. Hopefully this list will help you find yours!
