Next up in our Fashion Week DJ profiles is Binki Shapiro. Along with her ex-boyfriend, The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, and Los Hermanos singer/guitarist Rodrigo Amarante, Shapiro is one third of the band Little Joy. In addition to playing in the band and DJing, Shapiro has also been cited as a muse by designer Phillip Lim.

Anything by Lady Gaga.

Anything by Lady Gaga?
What is the best song to play at a runway show?
Donna Summer, "I Feel Love," or Abba, "Dancing Queen."
What songs are you planning to play during Fashion Week?
I think when you're hired to DJ a party you should play songs that make people forget the stresses of the day. Songs people can have a decent time to that are upbeat and unpretentious.

I like to be comfortable and warm and since I walk everywhere in NY, I always like to be prepared for that. Also, should one experience a walk of shame the following morning, your 'night out' outfit should be practical enough that it doesn't call you out!
