Occupy DC Protesters Release New Video Of Convention Center Incident

WASHINGTON -- Occupy DC has released another video from Friday's controversial protest action at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center which it says shows a Metropolitan Police Department officer being overly aggressive with a protest participant.

In the video below, a man that available witnesses have identified as a police officer appears to put his hands around the neck of Georgia Pearce, one of the women who was later struck and injured by the hit-and-run driver who police officers at the scene allowed to drive away that night.

This is yet another example of a series of violent actions against peaceful Occupy DC protesters on Friday night.

As tensions grow between city officials and the demonstrators, Occupy DC's message at the end of the anonymously-written blog post suggests a guarded optimism on the part of the protesters: "We have had a calm relationship with law enforcement during recent weeks and we hope to move forward peacefully with them in the future."
