Oklahoma Squirrel's Reign Of Terror Comes To An End

Fugitive Squirrel's Reign Of Terror Comes To An End

A wild creature's covert rampage on Oklahoma is finally over.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department is proud to report that it has captured none other than "Chewy" the squirrel, wanted by Oklahoma County deputies for causing roughly $700 in damages to squad cars.

The Sheriff's office celebrated it's capture by posting a video of the caged culprit to YouTube.

"As promised the sheriff always gets his squirrel," they wrote. "It was a valiant fugitive two week run from the law, but the long arm of the law won. 'Chewy' you caused nearly $700.00 worth of damages to OCSO vehicles, but you have been pardoned."

According to the sheriff, Chewy will be relocated to more hospitable surroundings.

The squirrel had been on the run for the past two weeks, long enough to create its own @OKCBadSquirrel Twitter account.

Wish I was in New Orleans so I could share a cell with Nicolas Cage. Instead I'm locked up with a bunch of nuts. #squirrelbehindbarsless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply
