There have been over 11,000 responses.

Regardless of the fact that New York City is a culinary capital of the world, there’s a multi-level Olive Garden restaurant right smack-dab in the middle of the island, surrounded by the bright lights of Times Square.

A Reddit thread titled “Redditors who have eaten at the Times Square Olive Garden, why?” asked users why, with so many exceptional food options to choose from, one would choose to dine in what many would consider a tourist trap.

Amongst the over 11,000 responses on the chain are typical stories you’d expect ― think tourists wanting something quick after a long day of sightseeing with no knowledge of New York City restaurants ― but there are some that shed light on a few valid reasons to visit the chain restaurant.

Behold, some legit, funny and endearing reasons people have eaten at the much-criticized Olive Garden in Times Square, New York City.

"Because the Olive Garden on 21st St. closed," takes our top spot for best reason. Anyone else suddenly in the mood for breadsticks?
