French toast should always be made with challah. Period. Thick slices of this eggy bread provide the perfect base for a filling and delicious morning meal.

Slice the Challah into thick slices:

Create the egg/milk/vanilla/honey/orange zest mixture for soaking the bread

Soak bread slices for 3 minutes on each side:

Melt oil and butter, then cook for 3 minutes on each side in a heated frying pan.

I dusted the finished French Toast with powdered sugar and topped it with bananas:

Finally, pour some syrup on there and enjoy!
