'Parks & Recreation': Jerry Accidentally Steals Newt Gingrich's Table At A Restaurant (VIDEO)

'Parks & Rec': Newt Gingrich Doesn't Like Jerry Either

It was the cameo that was never meant to happen, but it sure was great that it did. With their engagement official, the gang decided to throw bachelor and bachelorette parties for Ben and Leslie on "Parks & Recreation." But as the night wore on, the guys realized that none of them had ever had bachelor parties. So they decided to share the night.

When it came time for Ron's portion of the evening, he brought the guys to a steakhouse -- of course. While there, Jerry screwed up and sat at the wrong table. He thought he'd heard them say his name, Gergich, but they really said Gingrich ... as in Newt Gingrich.

Jerry tried to laugh it off, saying that their names were so similar that they could be related, but Newt dismissed him as tersely as everyone else does. "I don't think so, Jerry."

It was a fun little cameo that only came about because Gingrich happened to be eating at the restaurant when the crew arrived to film that scene. He was game to join in the fun, and another political cameo was secured!

Keep mixing your politics with laughter on "Parks & Recreation," Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
