Photog Describes Bhutto Scene: "Shots Were Fired And She Went Down"

The photos of Getty's John Moore are likely to stand as the most memorable and up-close from the scene of the Bhutto assassination today. He captured the final rally, the crowd near her car, Bhutto waving just seconds before the gun shots rang out, and then the suicide bomb explosion and crowd running -- and finally dead or bloodied bodies on the streets.

About a dozen of these historic photos -- with three minutes of Moore's narration -- were posted at www.nytimes.com tonight.
