THURSDAY, APRIL 21
Hammer Bash!
Hammer Museum (Westwood)

Kerem Halbrecht: 72 Hour Urban Action
The Company (Chinatown)
6:30pm
Following his talk April 20 at Materials + Applications, architect Kerem Halbrecht will speak about his project 72 Hour Urban Action, a competitive architectural festival that generates interventions in public space within extreme deadlines, tight budgets, and limited space. The first iteration of the project took place at the Bat-Yam Biennial of Landscape Urbanism in Israel, with 120 international participants working in 10 teams with 3 days and nights to build their projects in the public realm. GOOD is hoping to gather enough interest to launch a 72 Hour Urban Action competition here in Los Angeles, and asks, "What if you had 72 hours to transform your city?"
